LFW S/S’15: Hema Kaul – La vie en rose – Life is pink

For the third season running Hema Kaul presented at London Fashion Week, her latest collection is entitled ‘La vie en rose – Life is pink’. Known for her glamorous and intricate pieces, Hema has referenced poignant fashion moments from past decades adding her own tropical twist. Key silhouettes showcase Hema’s design skills whilst paying homage to an era of nipped in waists and full skirts.

Not forgetting the modern woman, Hema has created a handful of figure hugging pieces that beautifully show the female form. This retro tropical collection boasts femininity with a concoction of fresh florals and classical vintage designs on an assortment of relaxed beachside dresses and fun flirty cocktail dresses that are perfect for the modern global women. Printed organza, French tulle and stunning lace are all incorporated with an infusion of soft pastels including lilac, mint, baby blue and pink hues alongside refreshing splashes of bright sorbet colours.

Hema’s intricate embellishments are made up of 3D flowers on French tulle with beautiful sequin and diamante detailing. Tropical prints and retro styling are combined with Hema’s natural flair and her understanding of the female form, which ensures that this collection will be a future classic. Hema Kaul officially launched her international collection during London Fashion Week Spring / Summer 14. Diverging from the fashion trend of renovation Hema is centering her designs on innovation. Her dresses speak to women, who like her, are confident and never stop seizing opportunities and experiences, and who pursue that which they truly love.
