LFW S/S’15: HEMYCA – Digital Skin Avery ParkerSeptember 18, 201416 viewsFashionLFWLondon Fashion WeekSS150 Comments16 views London based luxury womenswear label HEMYCA, explore the future with a collection entitled ‘Digital Skin’. Reflecting a modern day drive for the latest technology, designers Helen Clinch and Myra Nigris have been inspired by the contrast between humanity and the digital world; the light and dark of today’s global desire for all things instant. Digital technology is present throughout the collection, with key styles featuring in a bright, multi-coloured digitally printed sheer organza stripe. White pique or waffle cotton looks fresh offset against neon coral, while fine butter soft leather with organza panelling features in classic styles, including a sophisticated black strapless cocktail dress. Soft colour comes in the form of universally flattering apricot, eau de nil and jade, which move into a stronger tangerine and mint. Geometric designs with contrasting textures such as matte and gloss raffia jacquard, hexagon scale effects and fragmented stripes, juxtapose soft and rough, creating a pixelated feel.
