Local Heroes co-founder Areta Szpura collaborates on a limited edition pair of Reebok Classics. The iconic trainer brand was inspired by Areta’s vibrant aesthetic and the life motto behind Local Heroes, ‘DOING REAL STUFF SUCKS’. Always nostalgic and street-style focused, with an element of youth subcultures, Local Heroes joins forces with Reebok to put its unmistakable spin on the classic Ventilator silhouette.

The exclusive shoe is made from premium leather and comes with two pairs of interchangeable laces (plain white and ‘Doing Real Stuff Sucks’ motto laces). Areta’s fun and colourful personality is reflected in the design of the shoe, which incorporates Local Heroes signature prints and popular design features. Think holographic sides, rainbow coloured soles and a cloudy print inner. The trainer also features a detachable rainbow charm that doubles up as a keychain.

With celebrity fans amongst the likes of Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora and Rihanna and having just launched exclusively at Selfridges for A/W’15, it won’t be long before Local Heroes become Worldwide Heroes. This is certainly just the beginning of the road for Local Heroes and Reebok.
