Lunar Woods Releases ‘Let’s Get Loud’

The works of young Russian rock band, Lunar Woods, is a sound-expressed personal life experience of musicians which are robed into a caustic, sarcastic form with very honest lyrics. The band are filled with warm memories, mistakes and disappointments of the past, reflections, revelations and discoveries of today’s life. New dreams and thoughts about the future, these factors are all important emotional experiences of Lunar Woods members, which are simply expressed in their music.

‘Let’s Get Loud’ LP is the first Lunar Woods release in new extended lineup. New drummer – new energy. Musicians worked in the new conditions, with new lineup and with new material. The album turned out louder in every meaning – more rock, more fun noise. The sound of Lunar Woods can be described as a mix of Alternative Rock, Post-Grunge, Stoner and many other genres. However, musicians don’t like to be limited to any particular style; they experiment with sound a lot which allows them to define their music into wider concepts. Works of the band have very different atmosphere, style, emotions and genres – though their songs always have that characteristic sound of Lunar Woods – unique and recognisable.

In this album, at first sight, the lyrics may seem a little bit more simple than in previous releases. However, a deeper dive comes to the understanding that everything stayed the same – the band’s lyrics preserved depth, but now meanings are often hidden between the lines and the meaning of the songs is not so obvious when you first listen to it. On that release, Lunar Woods paid particular attention to the theme of freedom. Not everyone knows what it is and how to dispose of it. Sometimes the most important restrictions in our life are our own creation, like our own inner prison.
