A close aide of Martino told reporters ‘It’s a very exciting project on the horizon and it will without a doubt encourage many young people to consider getting into business, with a scheme such as this they will evidently be challenges and without a doubt the measurement of the success rate of the scheme will lie on how many business started through the scheme are still running after a year but  I think the confidence, knowledge and skills these young people will be provided with will be very much valuable.’

MMEA

The Matthew Martino Enterprise Award is an entrepreneur’s scheme for young people which encourages and supports them to start their own business. MMEA does so by offering a start-up business grant, mentoring and other start-up resources which allow young people to make the most of their business venture. The  award works by combining a mixture of knowledge, skills training, business coaching with hands on business management, invitation to key business events and providing young people with the contacts to take their idea to the next level. Their two key awards are the Future Leader’s Award which is awarded to handful of young people quarterly and the Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award which is an annual award providing more opportunities and resources to the winner.

The scheme will be a joint venture between 22year old Martino and international charity MMBF Trust. Also adding to the scheme will be partners Lets Fly Academy, MMD-Tech and Delight Education Services.
