Lesia Paramonova is a young fashion designer based in Moscow, Russia, her clothing and accessories brand LES’ is mostly inspired by forest and nature and we have fallen completely in love with her current collection, entitled Monstrology. The brand name is some kind of an original word-play that only Russians can understand. It consists of the designer’s name and also brand’s main inspiration theme wood (les’ translates as forest from Russian).

LES’ is not only a brand of clothing. It is the whole world existing parallel to reality with its own atmosphere, characters and mood. The designer considers that her main point is not the invention of incredibly difficult designs and silhouettes but the creation of a very special world and providing the opportunity to get in it. This is the invitation to look at ordinary things from another side. LES’ story started when Lesia won the Young Designers contest “Preview”organised by Mastercard in March 2012. As the main prize she got a chance to show her collection within Cycles & Seasons Fashion Festival.

Her first collection was created on a third year at university. There were only five looks, that later were supplemented with another five for the contest. Overalls with floral prints, gauzy dresses, embroidery and applications made it feel like the morning, in a foggy forest. The collection was first estimated by foreign press, including CR Fashion Book, Italian Vogue, Grazia, American Marie Claire and bloggers. For the year which has passed after the first show, Lesia Paramonova created two capsule collections for Moscow boutiques and a collection of “berry” rims that has instantly became super popular, and she has also done a collaboration with Kiehl’s, the cosmetic brand.
