So, next time you are struggling to think of what songs to queue to keep you going when your energy levels are dropping off, try out some of the following: “Running Up That Hill” – Kate Bush The hit skyrocketed in popularity following its feature in Stranger Things, and it turns out many think it is the perfect song to motivate them on a jog or run. The hit appeared on more than a tenth of all the playlists analysed, found in 196 of the 1,400 playlists included in the study. “I’m Good (Blue)” – David Guetta The upbeat rhythm is no doubt to thank for this song’s 136 placements in jogging and running-related playlists, earning it the second spot in the ranking for the best songs for spurring people on. “Blinding Lights” – The Weeknd The fast beat of this song is ideal for encouraging a pickup in pace if you start to feel yourself giving up, with the song mentioned in 124 of the playlists. “Prada” – Cassö Featured 91 times, Prada is most likely for a similar reason as the other tracks on the list; the electronic song is bound to keep you from slowing down. “Flowers’ – Miley Cyrus Not only does this song inspire female empowerment but it also motivates people to get their steps in, with the hit appearing 84 times across the playlists. “Cruel Summer” – Taylor Swift The catchy lyrics of this song make it a great option for picking up your mood when the jog or run is starting to get tough, with the hit mentioned 83 times.
