Mostly A/W’15: Support Episode Collection Ellana BlandSeptember 27, 20158 viewsFashion0 Comments8 views Gijs Dries took his love for urban culture to the streets of Belgium with this budding brand. Gijs was always making his own personal art before decided to bring his designs to life. After relocating from Lommel (a neighbouring town to the Netherlands border) the turned designer opted to enrol in the school of art at the University of Hasselt, it was a few years later he would launch Mostly. Today Mostly is trending, in local Belgian streetwear, based in Ghent, with people such as electronic act Faisal, showing some love. Today Dries has had a great deal of growth with knowledge of fashion designing. He never saw himself as a “fashion designer” but more so a guy who wanted to share his personal style. Jumping into Mostly he quickly learned there was a lot of experience and time needed to complete certain tasks, but he always kept hustling through. “I just told myself I had to do what I had to do, no matter how intimidating or scary it was… t was somewhat a dream of mine, and I just like to pursue my dreams, I always say: do what you love, love what you do,” explained Gijs. You will get a sense of confidence, yet style in this laid back attire. Hip hop definitely takes the face of this variety. “I would say it’s kind of old school, because most of my graphics are monotone and flat. Not only that but also the graphics themselves have old school subjects or style,” Dries stated. Images and thoughts are exaggerated via fabric while paying compliment to urban flare. Music and company gets Gijs into his creative sanctuary as his ideas usually come from vibing out to good tunes and people. Available this autumn is a collection called Support Episode, featuring snapbacks, varsity jackets, sweatshirts and 5panels. This season Mostly got a facelift with a new embroidery letter “M”, the idea behind the new design were retro branding parts. The varsity jacket comes with the perfect amount of swagger, with an oversized polished look. Previewing for S/S’16 expect a revamp of the most popular designs in a new assortment of colours; this will included the original Mostly 808 logo. Ellana Bland Click here to visit the Mostly website.
