There is an exciting high street collaboration to ease us into Spring/Summer: Marks and Spencer have teamed up with fashion illustrator Holly Sharpe to bring us a stunning 19-piece capsule collection of cosmetics, bags, fragrance, accessories and gifts, with each item promoting the British illustrator’s powerful designs.
This is the first time M&S Beauty have given their cosmetics an artistic make-over and it is without doubt an exquisite combination. The collaboration also marks Holly’s first venture into the world of beauty packaging where her talent for seamlessly merging reality with fantasy is apparent to all.
Products are adorned with Holly’s ‘Exotic Girl’ design: a delicate pencil outline of a wide-eyed young girl contrasted with a vibrant Mardi Gras-style feather and flower headpiece. The illustration’s abstract pattern and attention to detail give the products a stylish finish and lavish feel perfect for dressing table display.

Make-up consists of lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, kohl kajal eyeliners and nail varnishes, while accessories comprise of cosmetic bags, a mirror, false eyelashes and an iPhone 5 cover. Each irresistible item utilises tropical-inspired colours such as fuchsia, orange and aqua marine in both product and packaging, allowing the two worlds of beauty and art to collide flawlessly. Inside the blusher, gold embossing of Holly’s signature image adds a classy touch to a shimmery pink powder ideal for creating that sought-after sun-kissed glow. The creamy, colour-intense lipstick in Tomato delivers instant moisture and lasting wear which is precisely what the new season requires. Its distinctive parrot-printed packaging continues the exotic theme and functions as a playful pick-me-up for the wearer. Available in hot shades Raspberry and Orange, the eye-catching nail varnish combos each contain a block colour polish and separate glittery top coat.
