Native Youth A/W’15 Collection: Workwear Mixed With a Relaxed Aesthetic

For A/W’15 Native Youth focuses on design anatomy alongside product fascia, with the overall intent being to create something greater than the sum of all parts. Essentially a range that is as impressive in its wearability as it is in its aesthetic appeal.

A/W’15 takes the same combination of workwear mixed with a relaxed aesthetic that has been apparent throughout the brands previous collections to heightened levels. Dry waxed cottons, technical rip stop and winter warm polar fleece linings form the pillars of outerwear, whilst water resistant coatings, internal bungee straps and removable inner jackets serve to further enhance functionality to wearer.

An input of pieces that delve into formality such as the pea coat and wool overcoat, create an outerwear offer for the season that is both diverse and purposeful. The brand’s Indigo jersey range has been freshened up with unique texture techniques and fabric combinations. New Introductions of neoprene and bonded space dye jersey keep the collection youthful and fresh in its aesthetic.

Prints throughout the collection take form through Japanese Sachiko inspiration and bold geometrics, this return to graphic simplicity brings visual impact to the collection. The seasons colour palette has been kept refined with on trend colours of black, indigo, navy, grey and white with colour highlights of burgundy and rust. The result; a solid line of clothing bound by design functionality, technical ability and globally appealing visual form. Or as Ida Rolf would put it, “Balance – strength in its simplest form.”
