On the radar: Burberry Beauty Box in Covent Garden Sophie DyerMarch 15, 20150 viewsBeauty0 Comments0 views It goes without saying that Burberry is a British institution. From their bags to their macs it’s safe to that they there are an iconic brand known for their clothes, not for their make-up. Burberry make-up is known, but not as well-known as it should be given the quality of their products. Therefore the Burberry Beauty Box is a perfect example to showcase not only their modern approach to retail (no cash registers in sight, all digital) and their amazing products. Tucked away in the heart of Covent Garden is the Burberry Beauty Box, a shop dedicated too all things beauty related. From make-up, to fragrance this is a beauty lover’s paradise. The décor is modern but still retains the sense of heritage that Burberry has established as a brand. It has a fresh modern take to shopping, reflected in the iPad they carry around with them to take payments. Just think if the Apple store met Sephora. The staff are friendly and equally clued up about their products, offering tailor made make-up sessions in front of iridescent mirrors, talking clients through each product they use and then handing over an illustration of the make-up done with the product details listed. Burberry make-up is underrated to say the least. It’s understandable that some designers when launching make-up lines can get drowned in the competition, Chanel, YSL etc. So let’s discuss some of the stand out products. First it must be noted that this make-up can only be bought in Burberry stores or online. Being a designer brand their products are slightly pricy, that being said with all good quality products it’s worth spending a little extra. The packaging is sleek and stylish, with the logo monogramed on it for a bespoke finish. It’s worthy of its high price tag just for that alone but of course there are also some stand out products to mention. Burberry’s Fresh glow luminous is a stand out staple. This foundation achieves a luminous finish yet the texture is extremely light and breathable, so much so that you forget you’re wearing make-up. Not only does this look gorgeous on the skin, it could also double up as a subtle highlighter to be applied on the brow bones, cupids bow and top of the cheek bones. Also, the effortless brow definer would also be a must-have for anyone who values their brows. This product not only offers a spooley at one end but features a slanted tip and buildable, powder texture that helps to define the brows subtlety. Burberry also offer an array of everyday eye shadow pallets that can be used both wet and dry in order to create a buildable amount of coverage depending on the look that an individual is going for. The Mocha Pallet is perfect from going from day to night, and is lightweight so no need to carry around extra product in your already overstuffed bag. To finish, following the trend of staple products the Burberry Signature nail collection would be a welcome addition to anyone who values a polished look in classic everyday colours. Sophie Dyer Whether you’re a Burberry fan or not you cannot deny the quality of their products. Head down to the Burberry Beauty Box to see for yourself and see how strong your willpower is!
