Penfield S/S’15: Life in the Open Avery ParkerFebruary 24, 201513 viewsFashionSS150 Comments13 views The Penfield spring/summer 2015 collection continues to draw from the brand’s New England heritage with contemporary twists and alterations as well as the introduction of enhanced technical detailing, a hint of the tropics and classic trail-wear mixed with a sleek feel, all designed for Life in the Open. The S/S’15 collection features refined prints, such as the black palm and vine camo, as well as clean typographic prints, tropical illustrations on tees and sweatshirts and subtle florals on shirts. Spring/summer 2015 sees the return of the iconic Pac jacket harking back to Penfield’s early designs. New styles include the Hamlin, a light shell taslan jacket suitable for protection from wind and rain during spring in the city or on the trail. The S/S’15 collection also continues to focus on technical wear with another newcomer – the Parmeter, featuring cross-body parallel zip detailing. Penfield classics such as the Gibson and the Vassan return in new colourways such as loganberry, orange and navy floral. The S/S’15 knitwear features variations in yarn twists, cotton colour blocking and flecking, with highlights including the Laurel crew knit and the Larkspur. The jersey collection features Penfield staples such as the Brookport alongside new styles such as the Oka crew neck in space-dye melange, graphic designs on the Axes and Hemmings sweats, enhanced pastel colours, shirting fabric trims on T-shirts, mesh back-neck and chest pocket linings. In addition to the Penfield staple styles such as the Vance city backpack and the Irondale roll- bag, in seasonal prints and classic trail colours, the accessories line features a new staple – the mountaineering-style Kitchener backpack with three front pockets. The 5-panel Casper Cap and the Penfield bucket hats range has been expanded to include a variety of colourways and prints, complimenting on the mainline collection. The exciting additions to the accessory line are the camping spork and the Penfield tent in new colours. Avery Parker Click here to visit the website.
