The 90’s; big prints, big fun, big personalities; when it comes to lightening up your summer you don’t really need to look any further. Think Lazy Oaf but with more ‘girls rule’ and fruit.

The prints all come from London based designer and recent graduate, Josephine Pettman, from which Phiney Pet came from, and already is working for high street retailer. All of the designs are full of colour, objects, patterns, embellishment – it’s crazy but it works.

Every piece of hers is awesomely fun, she manages to put multiple designs into one piece, go to the extreme with colour clashing, and still successfully make wearable summer pieces of clothing.

Think picnics in the park and boat rides then you’ll be on the right track for the perfect occasions to wear these items.

Many designers seem to be in the ball park for drawing or painting on their work; Prada with their new collection of having faces on their bags, Fendi with their bags symbolising expressions, and the extreme with Burberry’s A/W14 collection having brush stroke paintings on their items, but Pet went the step further, and a step earlier, in creating mad designs, all beautiful in their own eclectic way.

One of our favourite pieces is a biker jacket with hundreds of badges embellished onto it – kind of like the teenage jacket we always wanted to create but never had the time/effort to. Another is the multi-coloured oversized biker jacket, with rainbows of colour and tonnes of personality, this item speaks for itself.
All of the clothing is carefully designed to meet every exact need of it’s target audience, but when a designer comes up with something this fresh, we think the crowd will be overflowing.
