Pretty Eccentric ‘Vintage Summertime’ Collection

This season Pretty Eccentric continues its vintage style credentials with the launch of two collections in glamorous hues and striking prints. Designed in-house by Michelle Scott, the summertime portfolio sits perfectly alongside Pretty Eccentric’s continually unique, vintage inspired occasionwear. The Green Room edit is largely focused on popular shapes updated in striking prints with a classic summer feel. Lightweight fabrics in a mixture of cotton, silks and lace, in gorgeous green hues and a mixture of floral and 1920s inspired prints.

The new house print for S/S’16 – The Wave Print, is a take on a classic Japanese vintage wave. It gracefully distils the power of the ocean on a light silky crepe cloth that drapes like a dream. Another new print – The Deco Flower celebrates the start of lighter nights and warmer weather (fingers crossed), with a nostalgic print inspired by billowing clouds in an English country garden.

All aboard the Oriental Express – their second collection, with new design the Mabel Dress in Red Stork Print. Great attention has been paid to the beautiful cut, with pretty bell sleeves and a lapel that can be worn up or down. The Mabel dress will do ‘desk, drinks, dinner’ with ease. Hot on its heels is a quintessential garden party frock; The Fifi Dress in Silk Cotton Hibiscus Print. A style inspired by 1950s fit and flare, it features a contrasted red collar, tailored bodice and reversible belt. A colour palette of vibrant green tones, bold red, fresh mint, gold and dusky pink tints are a divine feast for the eye (not forgetting a welcome addition to the wardrobe)!
