With Milagro meaning ‘Miracle’ in English and a collection of stunning metal work in symbols that predate religion itself, it’s no wonder that Rachel Entwistle’s Milagros collection is as captivating as it is. It reaches beyond the fray of modern adornments and crosses the border in medieval Gothic revival, all whilst staying up-to date with that edgy charm we all adore.

Looking at what last year bought for us in the way of mainstream jewellery, midi rings, bindi spots, simple pendants on a long chain, and with the new year seeming to carry many of these over, you can start to see why this jewellery has been featured in magazine after magazine, in shoot after shoot. It adds a shock of tom-boy rebelliousness to an otherwise entirely feminine asset.

The main focus of this collection being an artifact, a symbol, and icon that we have all grown so used to seeing everyday – a cross – it took something incredible to make it eye catching again. Just looking at the imagery for this collection and we see strong, fierce looking woman adorned with crosses and lip rings. It evokes images of a warrior princess, with ideas of Sinbad, sorcery and change, it would be impossible to leave the house wearing this without feeling completely empowered.

In antique finishes and colours, these pieces will look completely fabulous with any outfit. Whether that be a sheer black blouse, or maybe you take the whole warrior idea the modern way, and wear lace maxi skirt with a leather biker jacket, you are sure to be drawing eyes wherever you go!
