Review: Saucebox Etude Palette Alicia JoyOctober 26, 201510 viewsBeauty0 Comments10 views You have just been given your paycheck. Your wallet is full. Now is the time. The markets span as far as the eye can see, and you’ll span every one of those markets just to buy something worth your money. Good make-up is hard to come by, and that’s just what you’re looking for. Well, look no further, as you might not even have to leave your home for the Saucebox Etude Palette, an exciting and new palette that’s been making nothing but good impressions. Today we look at what makes the Etude Palette so special! Packaging The Etude Palette comes in a cute but tough baby pink cardboard outside packaging. On the front is an artsy drawing of a girl with flowers; on the inside there is a hinged mirror. Overall, the whole Eye shadow Palette is pretty lightweight. Each eye shadow pan is individually removable for ease of use. What’s Inside? You’ll find a total of eight all matte eye shadows in the palette. The colours go from light to medium to dark and there is a harmony between the warms and the colds. The eye shadows are as follows: From L to R on top row: Snow Flake– A pretty white color that doesn’t seem in any way, a cheap knock of ‘off-white”. Beaming– A stronger colour than Snow Flake; it’s more of a darker shade, a creamy colour. Biscotti– A reddish brown colour that is great for red undertones for darker skins. Chocolate– A brown shade with a little green thrown in there. From L to R on bottom row: Caramel- A softer brown that is useable on pretty much any skin type. Comes off as very smooth in the palette, although it does throw off some powder. Toffee- It is basically just black, but very well tinted. Almond- Very reminiscent of MAC’s Mystery palette, it does exactly what it advertises. A cool brown that isn’t too harsh, and isn’t too light either. Cream Dream- A warmer tan colour that is a very good colour for transitions. Pigmentation All colours stay loyal to the colour in the palette when applied. Users report true colours with light or full colours. Longevity There are no transfers for the darker shades as users report up to 10 hours of application. There is very little fading of the colours as they stay pretty stable. Application Since it’s an all matte palette, some people might be intimidated by the idea of blending the colours. Well, fear not as the colours mix together very smoothly. This is because of the high quality of the palettes as none were chalk like, which isn’t very common in the palette world. Verdict There isn’t much that can go wrong with this near perfect palette. The neutral colours are an easy choice for anyone to pick up. If you’re in the market looking for eye shadows, we would definitely recommend them, especially because of the extra maneuverability you get with the removable pans. A solid 9.5 product! Alicia Joy
