Design duo Sarah & Sorrentino is made up of Sarah Pasricha and Louisa Sorrentino. Before they established their current label, Sarah started out working for Ralph Lauren in New York before embarking on a career in textiles for film. Meanwhile, Louisa studied for an MA in Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art & Design. The pair then worked together for many years as Textile Artists for the Film Industry.

Inspired by the rich Caribbean culture of their studio’s surrounding environs on Ridley Road Market, Dalston, Sarah & Sorrentino have experimented with hand-drawn geometric patterns and organic forms found in nature and modern architecture.

The ‘Ridley Road’ collection spans six designs; Dami, Boboto, Lucky, Hamar, Monnie and Lagos each take their name from shops lining this thriving area of London, drawing on its heritage for an equally colourful palette of sunset oranges, midnight blues, hot pinks and emerald greens.

Meanwhile, Louisa studied for an MA in Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art & Design, before working in costume production for the silver screen. 

The pair have worked together for the best part of the last decade on films with directors including Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott.
