Softening wardrobe staples through sportswear aesthetics, Stefanie Biggel offers covetable classics that lay the foundations for self-determined style. Now into her fifth season, S/S’14 shows just as much understated innovation, alongside an effortlessly elegant twist the Stefanie Biggel woman is synonymous for.
Centred on androgynous, clean-cut shapes in high-quality silk, leather and jersey, Stefanie Biggel adds playful touches through signature prints to create casually cool separates that show no boundaries. The bomber jacket makes a triumphant return for the new season, finished in textured fabrics that update it with a refined art-school vibe. Neoprene and leather are used throughout offering masculine touches. Whilst chiffon, jersey and sumptuously soft silks add feminine accents that juxtapose with a playfully flirty edge.
Graduating from the Institute for Fashion Design at the Academy of Arts and Design Basel back in 2009, Stefanie Biggel launched with her collection You won’t need me where I’m going in 2012. Now her sights are set on turning her eponymous label into a global brand.
