Stefanie Biggel S/S’15: Death by Watermelon Edith ZamoraOctober 16, 20141 viewsFashion0 Comments1 views Things come to an end. That it was good we often know much later. Stefanie Biggel’s S/S’15 collection tells the story of memories of a past love. Anecdotes and beautiful moments are in the foreground. Mixed feelings and absurd events flow into each other and let us celebrate a farewell with one laughing and one crying eye. All is forgiven. We celebrate a happy funeral! In her latest collection, “Death by Watermelon” Biggel blends performance materials with delicate tulle and fine silk. Transparency plays again an important role and directs the eye with a flirty wink to the wearer’s body. The look is characterised by clear elegant cuts. Bold folds and striking asymmetries give the collection the finishing touch. Of course, Stefanie Biggel’s signature piece “the bomber jacket” is back on the pitch again. This season in a sporty though delicate feminine design. – Stefanie Biggel’s collections for women are contemporary and characterised by clear, simple cuts. Her fashion is feminine without being too ornately or playful. Sporting influences and androgynous cuts take on elegance and femininity. Structure and poetry are an integral part in Biggel’s collections that tell a particular story each season. The often geometrical cuts are based on Biggel’s typically architectural signature collages which she creates when starting with a new collection. This designer graduated from the Institute of Fashion Design at the University of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland in 2009 and fter various collaborations with artists and graphic designers and countless requests from people around her she founded her brand in 2012.
