Tassia Canellis: Nature and jewellery in Holy Matrimony Tamara MasseyMay 8, 20143 viewsFashionHandmadeJewellery0 Comments3 views Sun, sea, sand, jewellery; possibly not the thing that automatically comes to mind, but when you understand the calm and mystic nature of Tassia’s feminine collections, then you won’t stop thinking about it. Having first launched her jewellery line in 2008 after studying at L’Atelier de Sèvres and LISAA in Paris and then becoming an Art Director in a communications agency, her endeavours for success have not been short lived. With her classy, delicate and effortlessly simplistic and stylish touch, her jewellery is one to captivate all. Her summer/spring 2014 collection is one that is especially compelling, with vivid colours all over the scene, and gold metal adorned with pearls and other gems of the earth, this heart-felt collection has substance. Each piece fits in with the next, creating a flow of jewellery that isn’t necessarily a set, but just fits with one another, creating an edgy and naturalistic tone to her work, each piece is earthy, has grit and resonates the simple Parisian come Californian beach style that is a destination match made in global heaven. With necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and ankle bracelets, her imagination for style doesn’t stop short, her pieces don’t have to cover up behind hundreds of neon jewels, as her creations are simplistic enough to fit in with the easy-going style, but bring a strong enough punch that people are bound to ask ‘oh that is so lovely, where is it from?!’ (a questions all of us girl’s adore being asked – outfit well made). So as summer is creeping its tanned legs around the cobbled street in Rome’s corner, get prepared before the sun (and the factor 50) fully comes out to play, and get shopping at Tassia’s.
