True Social Impact: 3D Animation Series Teaches Kids How To Save The Earth The Editorial TeamApril 22, 201619 viewslifestyle0 Comments19 views We recently celebrated Earth Day with many obligatory nods to how the world can recycle, upcycle, compost, and repurpose all kinds of materials, plants, and objects. We heard collective voices around the planet heed warnings such as, “Live more sustainably to save the Earth.” Calls for a more eco-conscious world are necessary and Earth Day is a key time to reaffirm these actions and beliefs. However, how do we keep these messages alive and at the forefront the other 364 days of the year, especially with our most impressionable and precious audience – our children? A new 3D animation series called Planet Blue is taking on this bold challenge by using fun-loving characters and exciting educational adventures to inspire children and future generations to save the planet. But this is no ordinary cartoon. Take a look at Planet Blue’s gorgeous animation in the series trailer below: Planet Blue Animated 3D Trailer from Arrow Sky Media on Vimeo. The production team behind Planet Blue, Arrow Sky Media & Magnetic Dreams, has an impressive number of 31 Emmy Awards combined. And with the 3D animation market estimated to be worth $40.78 Billion by 2019, this is truly a win-win project for everyone involved. Currently, the talented team is developing 12-episodes featuring characters such as the loveable, button-nosed Planet Blue, a beautiful and inquisitive Sunny Sun, and a team of Earth-loving kids from around the world. In the first season of Planet Blue, everyone works together to understand different environmental problems, such as deforestation, and come up with actual solutions. Explaining more about Planet Blue is the series Writer, Creator, Executive Producer, and Managing Director of Arrow Sky Media Victoria Lauren. Here’s a recent interview with Victoria on Planet Blue’s production, educational and social impact, and overall message. What inspired you (Arrow Sky Media & Magnetic Dreams) to create the Planet Blue 3D Series? What’s special about this project? Victoria Lauren: The inspiration for the Planet Blue Series was the lack of positive and educational programming that engages children to connect with nature and their one and only home “Earth.” We also instill respect and values in each episode to be kind to each other and to become proactive in everyday life in being conscious of the natural world and its delicate balance. Why a 3D Animated Series? VL: The production quality of animation for Planet Blue is ambitious, but we knew that to compete with other children’s programming on television and digital platforms the Series had to be state of the art and visually stunning to achieve the most awareness and success Worldwide. What specific mission do you have for Planet Blue? What impact do you think the series will have on future generations? VL: The main mission for the Planet Blue programs will be on solving environmental problems by making positive changes while creating productive and respectful dialogue with others. Children will become more aware and develop skills that empower them to make a difference. These, we believe, are the keys to Planet Blue’s educational values. Through compassion, we seek to encourage our children in leading the way into tomorrow. Why do you think animated shows about saving the Earth haven’t been created for children yet? VL: Unfortunately, the powerful advertisers that Networks rely upon to fund their productions are less likely to consider a television series with the primary goal of teaching children environmental responsibility and stewardship to be a worthy at this time. Explain how your company Arrow Sky Media supports environmental conservation and education? VL: Arrow Sky Media is a Social Enterprise Corporation that strongly supports providing school supplies to underprivileged children, and conservation efforts worldwide for the environment and wildlife. Our mission is to give a percentage of the profits from the Planet Blue Series to organizations that share our vision for a sustainable world. As the Planet Blue Series becomes more and more successful, what other ways will Arrow Sky Media plan to educate children about saving the planet? VL: We are developing a Live hologram musical tour in addition to the television series, as well as apps, video games and even board games to further engage children to continue learning about the world that they live on and help shape their stewardship. We are also planning to convert Semi-Tractor trailers into mobile Eco-Labs that will go across the country and bring conservation to the classrooms. Currently most schools do not include environmental conservation within their curriculum. How can the public help support the Planet Blue Series and its mission? VL: The Planet Blue Series is an independent production and self-syndicated on DIRECTV and most digital platforms. The most supportive public help is to spread the word with friends and share the http://www.goplanetblue.com website on Social Media.
