With the name, Vidur, derived from Icelandic for ‘wood’, the brand is influenced by the simplistic, fundamental nature of nordic design and its emphasis on the durability and authenticity of natural materials. Vidur’s design philosophy is to create garments that are elemental, functional and enduring. Vidur always work towards the same aesthetic ideals: a focus on form, fabric and workmanship in order to create timeless but contemporary garments. Formed in 2012, its two-man design team who have varying backgrounds – one in menswear (head designer Raj Mistry trained at the Royal College of Art) and one in music. Working closely with manufacturers and mills, their garments a built to stand the test of time both in terms of durability and aesthetic. Bailey Moss Click here to visit the website.
