We Take A Look At The New Reach Baby Gym By Oskoe

Oskoe is all about simple, clean lined products that are lovely to live with. Their products help create light and airy family homes with a sense of pared back style. They believe in calmingly minimal design, and that means using honest materials and understanding that often less is more. When these guys set out to create the Reach Baby Gym they wanted a product with a minimal, almost basic quality. Something that would amuse the little user, but be unobtrusive in the home. Products for babies often use garish colours and poor quality materials. They are exciting to the point of being over stimulating. These are not things you want on constant display in your kitchen or sitting room. In contrast the Reach Baby Gym is made from just two honest materials, British grown Ash and braided hemp cord.
 

It was important for them that that the baby gym should take up as little space as possible and be portable for occasional trips. To this end it makes use of the original flat pack joint, the tusk tenon which uses a wooden wedge to hold itself together. This style of joint is more than a thousand years old but here it is made using modern techniques. The baby gym can be used with a wide range of hanging toys or with the optional Stars.  Made from the same hardwood the Stars hang face down so their full silhouette is visible to the baby underneath.
