Wild Things by Kirsty Hartley Stephanie AndersonApril 15, 20142 viewsdesignFashionHandmadeStyle0 Comments2 views Wild Things is a new dress label for children offering simple, versatile clothing and accessories with a fun and funky contemporary twist. Your little ones will love to wear the strong colours and simple imagery shown on these clothes and grown-ups like the subtle retro influences and elements of childhood nostalgia. The collection is influenced by the simplicity of Scandinavian design, 60s and 70s styling and random naïve elements and whimsical details that appeal to children. All items are made in batch production scale at the heart of Lancashire, England. Clothing is available in sizes 0-8 years. There seems to be a signature design embedded on the children’s clothing; we adore the apron-like feel on the majority of the girls’ collection as well as the infamous onesie incorporated for both girls and boys. The simple yet eccentric designs of the depicted wild animals work very well for any children wearing it so if this isn’t included in your must-have list, then we’re not sure what will! The brand is short listed by Junior Magazine for Best New Brand – Emerging New Talent 2013 and has been mentioned in Mollie Makes as well as the newspaper, The Guardian as a suggestion listed for Top 10 Christmas Gift Guide for toddlers. Kirsty Hartley, the owner and designer of the team at Wild Things said, “I pride myself on creating colourful contemporary clothes with a truly handmade feel, using detail and techniques which show true craftsmanship, enlisting the support of two outstanding machinists during busy periods.” Priscilla Aroean Look through Wild Things’ full collection here for more information.
